DESCRIPTION:Classical Tui Na and Traumatology Series\nClass VI June 29-30\, 2019: Qi Gong for Clinical Use: Rehabilitation and Neural Re-Education\n\n\n\n\n\nTreatment of common orthopedic conditions are far more effective when the patient is educated on proper alignment\, gait and use of limbs. Qi Gong exercises are rich in material for the practitioner to instruct patients to correct habits and postures that can lead to repetitive stress injuries and other problems. This class will provide the practitioner with exercises for all parts of the body\, as well as the context for using them in clinical practice. There are no prerequisites for this class. \n\n\n\n\nDr. Resnick has been a senior instructor of the Zheng Gu Tui Na method of Classical Chinese medical massage for over 10 years. She has taught Tui Na and Qi Gong in the US\, Canada\, and Europe. Dr. Resnick practices in Manhattan\, NY at Evolve Health + Wellness\, and serves as faculty at three US based East Asian medicine schools. This unique class focuses on those conditions such as asthma\, dysmenorrhea and headaches\, where tui na hand techniques and practical protocols can produce amazing effects. This class also introduces students to more subtle hand techniques to balance the organ system and three burners of the body. For current JTS students\, interns\, and alumni\, if you missed the Level 1 in September but would like to join the class\, there is still a pathway to participate by attending the Upper Limb in December and then attending JTS Grand Rounds with Dr. Resnick January 26-27\, 2019 at JTS\, which will allow you to take the rest of the Classical Tui Na series including completing the missed weekends in fall 2019.
