Applied Channel Theory Module 1 (recorded lecture)

July 21, 2022 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

The 7 PDA approved lecture will introduce six-channel physiology and treatment from the perspective of Applied Channel Theory (經絡醫學 jīng luò yī xué). ACT is a current of thinking in contemporary acupuncture developed by Beijing professor Wang Juyi (王居易) over 50 years of practice, study and teaching. When considering clinical application in ACT, the goal is to foster conceptualization in each student’s mind of a moving, living system instead of a collection of fixed point protocols for given complaints or diseases. Through the development and application of a classical way of seeing physiology and pathology, students will open doors to new clinical insight while creating skills for innovative and individualized acupuncture treatments.

At the heart of Applied Channel Theory is a belief that clinical results will improve significantly if one can combine classical systems thinking with palpatory diagnostic technique. For this reason, a true transmission of Professor Wang’s life work must include not only theory but also technical training in careful channel examination.

Once your register, you will receive a login to access the video and can watch it at your own pace, prior to the course expiration.
