Series: Chinese Dietary Therapy and Taoist Dietary Practices

January 26, 2019 - January 27, 2019

Weekend #1: Chinese food therapy for Optimal Digestion

Understand the energetic properties of foods and how to use food as a healing modality for your patients. Learn to help patients continue their healing between appointments through dietary therapy. Sarah will discuss digestive complications and common disease pathology from a Chinese Medicine perspective and explore their treatments through the use of diet.

Sarah Girard began studying Chinese dietary therapy in 1999. In 2009, she completed an extended Chinese Dietary Program through the Chinatown Wellness Center in New York City with Jeffrey Yuen. Sarah is a grand rounds instructor, clinical supervisor, and teaches energetics foundational classes at JTS.

Dietary Therapy 3-Part Series

Decades of confusing information has led the public to chronic obesity and metabolic disease. As practitioners of Chinese medicine, we have powerful tools for patients who are open to moving from the Standard American Diet (SAD). This cutting edge 3-part series will give you the information you need to counsel your patients on traditional Chinese and Daoist concepts of healthy eating and lifestyle.

Taught by JTS faculty Sarah Girard, L.Ac., and JTS Board Chair Shawn Arthur, Ph.D, this series is not to be missed! We anticipate this to be a popular series, so register early to assure your spot.
